Our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a key role in supporting Bronte Academy Trust schools with strong, sustainable financial management. Working closely with school leaders and Office Managers, the CFO ensures that resources are used effectively to deliver the best outcomes for pupils while maintaining financial compliance and transparency across the Trust.
The finance services provided include:

Strategic financial planning to support school improvement and Trust-wide priorities

Budget setting and monitoring, offering guidance and oversight to ensure schools remain on track throughout the year

Preparation of monthly management accounts and regular financial reporting to Headteachers, Trustees, and the Executive Team

Compliance with ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency) requirements, including support with statutory returns, internal audits, and funding regulations

Procurement support to ensure best value for goods and services across the Trust

Payroll coordination and liaison with external providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness

Support with financial systems and processes, including training for school-based staff

Risk management and financial forecasting to help schools make informed decisions

Development of reserves strategies to support long-term planning and investment
