Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

We recognise that the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) has three aims that we must have due regard to, the need to:
- Eliminate discrimination and other conduct that is prohibited by the Equality Act 2010
- Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
- Foster good relations across all characteristics – between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
Aligned with our strategic improvement priorities, we have set the following four equality objectives for 2026 onwards:
- All schools, communities and the Central Team will be supported to identify and address their vulnerabilities
- All educators will receive a high quality responsive professional learning programme
- All learners will be provided with a broad balanced and inclusive education
- All learners will be supported to improve their outcomes and we will be ambitious to accelerate the progress of less advantaged pupils and those with special educational needs.
